i-too Hammer Controller
The i-too’s
motion sensors are not all that accurate, and the directional stick on top
doesn’t seem to work. But if you want to incorporate motion sensing into your
PC games without all the hassle of connecting a Wiimote,
than the i-too is a cheap
option. It claims to have 6 axes of control, but the data I got back from most
of the sensors was unusable. So the features I implemented in this class are
horizontal tilt, vertical tilt, acceleration (y axes), flick motion, and the
three buttons.
Tilt the controller to move the target. Moving the
controller up and down causes the red bar on the left side of the screen to
change length and direction (acceleration). Flicking the controller will cause
a sound to play. The flick motion can be best described as air drumming. The
top button plays a drum roll and the other buttons select the sound to play
when the controller is flicked.
